What’s happening in the Western Australia Beef Industry

  • ‘Livestock research opportunities – Animal Behaviours, Plant Diversity, Remote Sensing and GPS tracking for better cattle and landscapes’ by Dean Revell, Research Scientist, CSIRO, Perth.
  • ‘Genetics research for the Australian beef industry – driving increased rates of genetic gain’ by David Johnston, AGBU, and Armidale.

The final day of the meeting included a field trip to a small backgrounding feedlot in the Swan Valley and inspection of the new Saleyards Complex at Muchea.

The Council dinner of Wednesday evening, offered a great networking opportunity for NABRC members and guests.
